Why “Stargazy” Garden?
It all comes down to a pie!
Stargazy Pie is a traditional Cornish dish, originating in Mousehole, Cornwall. This pie is normally eaten during the festival of Tom Bawcock’s Eve.
On a very stormy winter’s day, Tom Bawcock had an awesome catch of fish. His entire catch was allegedly baked into a massive Stargazy Pie which supposedly saved the village from starvation. This pie story has more recently been made popular in a children’s book called The Mousehole Cat.
